Agrophotovoltaics is an innovative technology that combines solar energy production with agriculture. Photovoltaic panels with 40 – 50 % transparency are installed over agricultural areas, allowing simultaneous cultivation of crops and electricity production. This system increases land use efficiency, protects plants from extreme weather, prevents excessive evaporation of water from the soil, while providing farmers with additional income from renewable energy sources.
